Lolita’s Addiction
As far back as I can remember I have been creating. As a child I was introduced to fabric by my neighbor who worked in a factory. She would bring home the scraps and I would create stuffed ‘dolls’. I then was fortunate enough to take some sewing classes and really let myself be creative as a teenager. As I evolved into adulthood, so did my experiences and curiosity about many things.
I have my Master’s in Art Therapy and have almost completed another Master’s in Addictions Counseling, but they are nowhere near as exciting and fulfilling as working with my hands and the creative energy that I have when those ideas pop into my head. At times there are too many ideas and not enough time to experiment. I love fibers, yarn, paper, beads, kimono fabric, and being a ‘mad scientist’.
