dawn boyer jewelry
dawn boyer jewelry has been influenced by my travels abroad and my love of Asian and Indian art. Each design has its own eclectic appeal. Using precious and semi-precious gemstone beads and freshwater pearls as a base, my designs encompass wrapped sterling silver or gold-filled wire in addition to metal accents and findings for further design interest. I look for unexpected blends of colors and textures to add an exotic touch to the jewelry.
My love of jewelry began at a very early age, but my jewelry business began when I started selling my designs to co-workers, who would ask to buy pieces I was wearing. I am a self-taught jewelry designer who began my craft when I was given a set of tools as a gift and then was lucky enough to be able to take jewelry and metalsmithing courses in high school. In between my jewelry making, traveling and craft shows, I managed to get a B.A. in Russian from Penn State and an M.S. in Library and Information Studies from Drexel University, just to make life more interesting.
